chris_gerribI've solved a mystery. (Not the one I'm writing - a real one.)
When I go down to visit my parent's house, my personal laptop always has problems connecting to their wifi. It will either not connect at all, or drop at random intervals. More puzzling to me was that my work laptop (also a Dell) was rock-solid, or at least as rock-solid as small-town Internet gets.
Well, today, my personal laptop decided not to connect to my wifi at home. It worked fine last night, and my work laptop is again, rock-solid. Apparently I have a bad wifi card in my laptop. I'm sure the darned thing is attached to the motherboard, making repairs problematic.
I'm running to Best Buy this afternoon to get an external adapter, which I've already ordered for pickup. Yippee.
