On Fighting Lies

One of the things that tends to get me spun up during Internet conversations is when somebody says something that's demonstrably not true. Facts matter, and facts, like gravity, always get you in the end.
Then I read this article about Joe Rogan, AKA "Man Who Cares Not About Truth." The most important part about the article is the last sentence, which I post here so I can find it later.

There are limits to what we can do to prevent people from lying to people who want to be lied to.
