chris_gerribA couple of random thoughts, linked only by being in my head.
1) It's been a very long time since I drove a ship, and I never drove anything nearly the size of this one. Having said that, here's a good analysis of the bridge accident by a certified expert. It used to be my job to drive ships under bridges. Things do go wrong.
2) I'm downstate visiting my parents, which means watching local small-town TV news. The eclipse coming up on Monday April 8th is getting wall-to-wall coverage. I intend to be downstate for that as well.
