Writer's Workshop

chris_gerribAs I mentioned, I attended the Writer's Workshop at Windycon. The three amateur entries were critiqued by:
- Adrienne J. Foster (who also moderated)
- Francisco Ruiz
- Richard Chwedyk
- E. J. Cherhavy-Shumak
As usual, the reviews were helpful, and focused on the problems of the story. I was pleasantly surprised when several of the pro reviewers said of my story words to the effect of "I wouldn't be surprised to see it published as is." Of course, they then proceeded to discuss various problems with the story. If you haven't taken your writing to a critique session like this, you should.
