The Sunshine Man by Emma Stonex

I'm pretty sure I found this book because Goodreads suggested I sign up for a giveaway. I didn't get a free book so I bought it and finally got around to reading it.

It's a tense book with a great opening line: "The week I shot a man clean through the head began like any other." Most of the action is set in January 1989, but we get lengthy flashbacks to fill us in. The book is very British and I had to Google several bits of British slang, but overall I really enjoyed it.
