Vacation Question
Dec. 6th, 2007 04:44 pmI'm planning a vacation for late January / early February. (Experience has taught me that unless I plan a vacation, it doesn't happen.) So, Mexico or a cruise?
The last time I was in Mexico, I was in high school with a Spanish class. The last time I was on a cruise, the ship was gray and had no booze. I'm single, don't want to share a cabin or room, and have a passport.
Suggestions?

Date: 2007-12-07 04:04 am (UTC)I get seasick, so we won't be doing a lot more of them, but they're fun--tho I don't know how much fun they'd be alone. (We always went in a group: Carol and I, my sister and Bill, a couple of my friends, and a couple of their friends.)
Mexico is actually not bad if you like water sports. We went to Cancun in 2000, and the XPuha park was spectacular.
We're going to Hawaii in February. Haven't been there in 11 years. (And we went nowhere for our 30th, sigh.) It's Time.

Date: 2007-12-07 02:52 pm (UTC)Having developed sea legs on a ship 1/20 the size of a typical cruise ship, seasickness *shouldn't* be a problem.
I'm still in the "plotting" phase.
