1) For-profit colleges don't seem to work: Half – HALF! – of all loan defaults come from the 13% of students at for-profits. From the linked article, "When 20% of your students are graduating compared to 55% across all public universities and nearly two-thirds at privates, you're barely a university."
2) Two newish SF fans (each into SF for a decade or so) review Robert Heinlein's The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. Not so much with the liking. (stolen from

3) John Scalzi waxes wise on Enjoying Problematic Things or, "enjoying works of art by people who aren't very good."
